Key Responsibilities:

  • Follows the directives and priorities set by the agency Team Leader and IT management.
  • Keeps Team Leader informed about work schedules, technical challenges, and travel arrangements. Proactively addresses potential issues with Team Leader and IT management.
  • Acquires and maintains comprehensive knowledge of agency IT applications to effectively instruct learners.
  • Coordinates and communicates training schedules and offerings with users and stakeholders.
  • Ensures that training environments and resources are prepared prior to sessions.
  • Facilitates virtual and in-person training sessions, including webinars and user group meetings.
  • Builds strong relationships across the organization to identify training gaps and encourage class participation.
  • Handles logistics for training sessions, including reserving spaces and confirming enrollments.
  • Delivers engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Maintains professionalism and order during training to achieve course objectives.
  • Manages course enrollments, attendance records, and grading within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Ensures accurate recordkeeping and compliance with travel policies and reimbursement procedures.
  • Reviews and updates training materials regularly.
  • Creates effective training content tailored to the audience. Publishes materials as necessary.
  • Participates in IT projects, providing user training support during product testing and rollouts.

Demonstrates adaptability and responsiveness in a dynamic, customer-oriented IT environment.

Qualifications:

Overall IT Experience: Minimum of 5 years required.

Education: BA/BS in communications, education, IT, or a related field; or an Associate Degree with 2 years of IT experience; or IT certifications with 4 years of IT experience.

Certifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications required for at least 5 years.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years in IT technical training or related fields.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and teaching skills required for at least 5 years.

Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel within the State of Georgia for in-person training.

Preferred Experience: Developing role-based training content for IT applications (4 years), instructional design, visual design, and using tools like Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia, and Articulate 360/Storyline (2 years each).

Additional Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and experience maintaining training records within an LMS are highly desired.
