About the Role:

We're seeking a highly experienced Strategic Sourcing Lead to join our Strategic Sourcing team based in Palo Alto, California. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, ensuring compliance with our processes, and driving operational and cost efficiencies through process excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy a global sourcing strategy for last mile delivery in international markets
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams in formulating creative delivery mechanisms
  • Engage and own the commercial relationship with services partners, responsible for cost negotiations, continuity of service, risk management, and driving operational and cost efficiencies
  • Partner with stakeholders on category strategy, contract negotiation strategy, contract evaluation, redlining, and negotiation
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to influence business decisions
  • Continually improve supplier performance by setting measurable, contractual, performance targets and related supplier performance management
  • Engage cross-functional and cross-business partners to develop innovative solutions, managing and delivering sourcing deliverables, and ensuring user needs are integrated
  • Build robust project plans and timelines to ensure key milestones are being captured and met as it relates to the sourcing process
  • Effectively communicate status updates to stakeholders, including timely identification and escalation/resolution of issues
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team, fostering their growth through hands-on coaching and providing opportunities for skill enhancement and career development
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 12+ years of experience in supply chain development, sourcing management, or strong engineering background in product development
  • 5+ years of experience managing high performing sourcing teams
  • Analytical/negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to toggle between strategic and detail-oriented thinking
  • Tenacious problem-solving & issue resolution skills
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence across multiple functional teams
  • Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments
  • Excellent communicators, capable of working in multinational environments, driven and motivated by accomplishing extraordinary objectives
