Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lead Hardware Architecture Specialist to join our team, focusing on global hardware design, standards, and architecture.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining server, storage, and full-rack hardware standards that govern deployments to ServiceNow datacenters worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Standards Development: Create and refine server, storage, cloud service provider, and rack SKU documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Supply Chain Management: Support relationships with resellers, integrators, suppliers, and cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, etc.), working to ensure continuity of supply by identifying and validating alternates for incumbent hardware solutions.
  • Tech Evaluation and Procurement: Collaborate with hardware manufacturers to evaluate new technologies and products for use in our global infrastructure, driving informed decisions that meet business needs.
  • Operational Configuration Management: Design, build, and maintain operational configurations to ensure consistent deployments over time, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
Requirements
  • Datacenter Expertise: 4+ years of experience in datacenter technician and/or technical program management roles, with a deep understanding of enterprise server solutions, enterprise storage solutions, rack-level power design/management, and complex network cabling design.
  • Critical Skills: Intermediate understanding of AC/DC power calculations, critical attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to drive complex problems to resolution.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or Computer Science (CS) or related field.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and customer skills, problem-solving, conflict management, listening, time management, and interpersonal skills required, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Compensation and Benefits

Our estimated salary range for this role is between $140,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
