Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Health Services Coordinator to join our team at Greenhill School. This is an hourly, non-exempt position that can be either 10- or 12-month.

About the Role:

The Student Health Services Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Student Health Services to monitor daily absences and screenings, as well as assist with compiling data. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively communicate with families, administrative staff, school psychologists, athletic trainers, and fellow nurses.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Director of Student Health Services to monitor daily absences/screenings and assist with compiling data;
  • Assist with teacher and staff training on infection control and personal protective equipment (PPE);
  • Assist with hands-on teacher staff training on Epi-Pen administration for food allergies;
  • Delegation case management students with chronic health conditions;
  • Daily routine treatment, monitoring, and care of students;
  • Daily medication administration and recording in classrooms;
  • Maintain health forms and immunization records;
  • Communicate pertinent medical and health information to families;
  • Assess student health concerns and deliver medical care, intervention, and education;
  • Refer students and families for appropriate follow-up medical care;
  • Maintain nursing office supplies;
  • Prepare documentation and supplies to accompany day and overnight trips;
  • Follow Emergency Response protocols;
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures and protocols;
  • Provide nursing care and physical screening of students;
  • Implement first aid measures for students as needed;
  • Collaborate with divisional office coordinators.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of nursing experience, preferably in school nursing/pediatric setting;
  • Knowledge and proficiency with computers and associated software;
  • Excellent communication and managerial skills;
  • Current Texas State RN License;
  • Current certification in CPR;
  • BSN nursing degree from an accredited college or university;
  • Strong assessment skills.

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
