Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (depending on experience)
Job DescriptionThe Transload Operator will be responsible for loading and unloading railcars, transferring products into silos, sampling and testing products received and shipped, and performing routine maintenance on terminal equipment. Additionally, this role will involve assisting with training new employees and working collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth terminal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading railcars safely and efficiently
- Transferring products into silos and ensuring accurate inventory records
- Sampling and testing products received and shipped to ensure quality control
- Performing routine maintenance on terminal equipment
- Assisting with training new employees
- Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth terminal operations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 1+ year's experience in moving or coordinating bulk freight via rail or truck
- A valid driver's license
- The ability to stand for long periods and work while sitting, bending, twisting, or climbing stairs
- The ability to work at heights, in enclosed or confined spaces, near water, and around moving equipment and machinery
- The ability to lift up to 100 pounds
