Respiratory Therapist Supervisor Opportunity at Medical City Alliance

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a Supervisor, responsible for overseeing daily shift operations and staff in the respiratory area. This position requires excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

About the Role:

  • Provide exceptional respiratory care to patients with consideration for their age and condition.
  • Oversee daily shift operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and maintaining high standards of care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Educate staff, patients, and family members on respiratory care techniques and procedures.
  • Assess, plan, evaluate, coordinate, and provide quality care to patients in the Cardio-pulmonary department.
  • Perform all procedures as ordered by physicians, maintaining patient records and log books, and correlating charges with procedures.
  • Assist the director in managing inventory needs, maintaining appropriate levels, and improving quality of care and services.
  • Represent the department at interdepartmental meetings, advocating for the needs of the respiratory team.

Requirements:

  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP) certification.
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, based on experience.
