Job Title: Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Position patients, adjust equipment, and secure support devices to perform radiographic procedures.
  • Determine appropriate radiographic techniques based on patient anatomy and condition to obtain high-quality images.
  • Operate advanced and sophisticated radiology equipment, including CT scanners and MRI machines.
  • Assist radiologists with procedures, including specialty procedures, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure patient safety and quality care by adhering to established safety standards and practices.
  • Perform quality control activities, including checking film quality and labeling, to ensure accurate and timely patient care.
  • Provide instruction and orientation to new technologists and participate in performance reviews.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
  • IDNS license.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a general radiographer.
  • Certified in radiology and registered by ARRT.
  • CPR certification.
Working Conditions:

The Radiology Technologist will work in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging department, interacting with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of technical skills and attention to detail.

This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week, with rotating shifts during our center's hours of operation. The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and use patient handling equipment when necessary.
