Overview

Diversified Project Services International, Inc. (DPSI) is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Senior Land Surveyor. This position is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere, offering numerous avenues for professional advancement.

Position Summary

The Senior Land Surveyor will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of various surveying initiatives, including legal descriptions and boundary assessments. This role involves engaging with clients and formulating proposals while ensuring project budgets are adhered to and client satisfaction is achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct boundary surveys, easements, and legal descriptions.
  2. Offer professional guidance and expertise to field survey teams and office personnel to facilitate work requests.
  3. Provide technical and legal support as necessary.
  4. Review and validate completed survey work, drafting or supervising the creation of land legal descriptions and maps in line with established surveying standards.
  5. Interpret and assess engineering plans and drawings.
  6. Examine records, charts, and technical engineering data.
  7. Analyze incoming data from field and office staff.
  8. Perform arithmetic calculations as required.
  9. Supervise field operations of a survey crew.
  10. Prepare, interpret, and/or review engineering plans, field notes, and specifications.
  11. Maintain precise records and generate reports and correspondence related to projects.
  12. Execute additional responsibilities as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with laser scanning and GPS technology.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Carlson software.
  • Experience in construction staking.
  • Ability to perform numerical computations accurately.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Land Surveyor license.

Experience in surveying during construction phases and/or creating as-built drawings is essential.

Proficiency with surveying technologies, including GPS systems for RTK surveying and robotic total stations.

A minimum of 6 years of surveying experience is required.
