About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Body Repair Craftsman to join our team at The Boyd Group.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver exceptional customer experiences by providing meticulous assessments and quality repairs of vehicles to restore them to their pre-accident condition.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent execution of our WOW plan.
  • Plan and prepare cost estimates for customers, utilizing technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Operate various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
  • Hammmer out dents, dimples, and minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins for more extensive repairs.
  • Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
  • Remove and replace damaged vehicle parts with new or aftermarket components, including glass and windshields.
  • Replace or repair interior components as needed.
  • Weld and attach or fit parts into place, ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Prepare and repaint vehicles using factory-specified paint or equivalent.
  • Achieve work orders within labor time guidelines, maintaining productivity and efficiency.
  • Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure all work has been executed correctly.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
  • Demonstrated ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a thorough understanding of methods and procedures for repairing vehicle bodies.
  • Ability to use specialized tools required for the trade.
