Strategic Sales Director for Rare Disease Solutions

Pharming Healthcare Inc. is a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to transforming the lives of patients with rare, debilitating, and life-threatening diseases.
We are seeking an Executive Director, Sales (Joenja) to lead our ultra-rare sales team in identifying new APDS patients and ensuring they gain access to Joenja.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams in the rare and/or ultra rare disease states with deep understanding of market dynamics, patient access, and regulatory environments.
This role involves strategic planning and tactical execution in driving growth and market expansion.
You will be responsible for co-creating and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing Regional Business Directors to build high-performing sales individuals and teams.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key immunologists, healthcare providers, or other stakeholders who treat APDS.
- Driving customer acquisition and retention strategies.
- Monitoring and analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life science, or a related field, and at least 10 years of leadership sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry with experience in rare disease sales preferred.
Preferred qualifications include a proven track record of success in launching new pharmaceutical products, leading launches from pre-commercialization to post-launch phases, and managing sales teams with consistent performance of exceeding and/or achieving revenue targets.
This is a remote/field-based role that requires travel up to 60% within the U.S. depending on the geography and business needs of the given territory.
The estimated salary for this job is between $265,000.00 and $295,000.00 per year.
