About the Role

As a Blood Collections Team Lead at the American Red Cross, you will play a vital role in leading our blood collection team to deliver exceptional donor experiences. With your leadership skills and compassion, you will drive results and serve others with a high level of respect for customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise blood collection staff, including training and performance
  • Drive for results and to serve others with a high level of respect for customer service
  • Take the time to personally connect with donors – listen to their stories and help them understand the value of their donation
  • Contribute to a friendly and fun environment. Team up with your co-workers to keep our donors coming back again and again
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and work experience (four to eight years of work experience in a related field) required
  2. Minimum two years of supervisory/leadership experience
  3. Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required
  4. Ability to work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays. Overnight travel may be required
  5. A current, valid driver's license with good driving record is required
  6. Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes is required
  7. Basic computer skills are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT etc)
  • Prior leadership experience exceeding 2 years in healthcare setting
