Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Plant Operations Specialist to join our team at Veolia Environnement SA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our water treatment plants.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining all unit processes within the treatment plant, including chemical feed equipment, electric and hydraulic motors, and other equipment necessary for the treatment process.

Monitor and Control Systems

You will use instrumentation and computer systems to collect and interpret water quality results, operate and maintain SCADA systems, and perform routine maintenance on water treatment and pumping equipment and facilities.

Laboratory Tests and Record Keeping

You will perform routine laboratory tests, make complex mathematical calculations, keep accurate records, and perform routine clerical duties.

Requirements
  • Education and Certification

A high school diploma/GED is required, and a college education may be desired or required for proper Operator Certification.

Knowledge and Skills

You will require knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and safety requirements used in water treatment and pumping operations, as well as the ability to take accurate readings, make complex mathematical calculations, and understand and follow written and oral instructions.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, based on location and experience.
