Job Summary:

Central Dermatology Center is seeking a highly skilled and professional individual to join our Patient Service Center team as a Customer Service Ambassador. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients over the phone, ensuring a positive and pleasant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take all incoming appointment calls and provide accurate answers with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively respond to and prioritize calls from patients to ensure appropriate and timely scheduling.
  • Schedule appointments accurately for our busy 20+ provider specialty practice.
  • Guide and transfer callers appropriately to various locations and departments efficiently.
  • Obtain and enter patient demographics accurately.
  • Obtain and verify insurance information.
  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality, adhering to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of work experience in a customer service setting.
  • Prior experience in a medical, dental, or other healthcare practice is highly preferred.
  • Excellent phone etiquette to handle multiple calls at a time and route them appropriately.
  • Word processing and computer experience is required.
  • Medical terminology is helpful.

Education and Location:

  • High School graduate required.
  • Position is located in Durham, NC at our Administration Building.
  • Candidates may be asked to train at our main office in Chapel Hill for a minimum of 2-3 weeks before being assigned to their station.
  • All candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to work full-time, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Compensation:

$15-$17/hour, negotiable depending on education and experience.
