Job Overview: Located in Northern California, Joby Aviation is a pioneering company in the development of an affordable, all-electric air transportation system. We are seeking a skilled Autoclave Operator Apprentice to join our 2nd shift team and contribute to the manufacturing of our cutting-edge aircraft components.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor autoclave equipment to cure composite materials.
  • Develop skills in loading and unloading parts, setting up process parameters, and monitoring the curing cycle.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality components and adherence to safety standards.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of composite materials and curing processes.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve any equipment or process deviations.

Requirements:

  • Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:30pm - 1:00am.
  • Able to lift assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to become certified to wear a respirator.
  • Perform tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • No known allergies to epoxies or other composite materials.
