Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team at Inland Empire Paper Company. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for planning and executing complex equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing process-related challenges, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment in a heavy industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, start-up, test, inspect, repair, program, tune, maintain, and calibrate electrical equipment in a heavy industrial environment, including low, medium, and high voltage AC and DC motors, motor controls, switchgear, PLCs, VFDs, and other heavy industrial equipment related to pulp and paper mill operations.
- Work with other Maintenance and Operations personnel to troubleshoot and repair process-related challenges.
- Perform all work safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

- 2-year degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience and/or apprenticeship.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform essential functions of working in a heavy industrial environment, including climbing ladders, climbing stairs, walking distances, working at heights, working in tight or enclosed spaces, inclement weather, and temperature extremes.
- Strong diagnostic skills and willingness to learn new equipment and procedures as needed.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarization with the National Electrical Code.

What We Offer

- Competitive hourly rate of $38.34 per hour (journeyman rate).
- Opportunities for additional pay as skills and certifications are obtained.
- 4-10 day shift schedule, including one weekend and one swing shift rotation every 5-6 weeks, with 6 days off prior to the weekend shift.
