Job Summary

The Occupational Health Specialist will be responsible for administering a comprehensive nurse-oriented occupational health service, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and management teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer occupational health services, including job hazard identification, employee fitness requirements, and medical surveillance programs.
  • Elicit patient histories and perform physical examinations as necessary.
  • Interpret examination results and recommend actions for hire/retention.
  • Provide immunizations and health education services as required.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate employee care.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A registered nursing degree (R.N.) and current licensure to practice in the state where the position is located.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Army Regulation 40-5 (PAM 40-11).
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location of the position. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
