Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pulmonary Care Specialist to join our team at St. David's Georgetown Hospital in Texas. This role is a great opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and wants to grow with our organization.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering respiratory care services to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other caregivers to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities

  • You will perform patient assessments, including evaluating respiratory status, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to determine the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, such as oxygen delivery, aerosol medication, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with artificial airway placement and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation as needed.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers when necessary.
  • Ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation efforts.

Requirements

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitate training is required.
  • A State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RCP) license and RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner certification are necessary.
  • An Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field is required.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
