Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team at New Story School. As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism or emotional/behavioral disorders in achieving their academic and behavioral goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply behavioral science principles to assist students, teachers, and support staff with education and behavior management.
  • Run and assist data-driven practice to ensure student success.
  • Assist with Precision Teaching activities and data recording.
  • Use data to inform instruction and make decisions.
  • Assist with explicit instruction and Mathetics to support daily instruction.
  • Implement principles of behavioral science to effectively manage student behavior.
  • Supervise and execute school activities inside and outside the classroom.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform non-violent crisis intervention techniques.
  • Ability to react quickly and be sufficiently mobile to redirect students in crisis situations.
  • Ability to physically assist with evacuating students during emergency situations.
