Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Coordinator to join our team at U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of hourly union payrolls, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process weekly payrolls for USTP and USTA, reviewing employee timecards and correcting discrepancies in the time management system.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels, both internally and externally, to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Provide on-site support for supervisor and employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Manage employee self-service, where available, and ensure accurate and timely entry of HR data, including hires, data changes, and terminations.
  • Assist with employee compliance in policies, safety, and business strategy.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including earned personal and sick time, accruals, service awards, and FMLA spreadsheets.
  • Support Human Resources in other day-to-day functions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with Payroll processing preferred.
  • College Degree in Business or HR beneficial, but not necessary.
  • Manufacturing environment a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply principles of business math skills as they apply to Human Resources/Payroll.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and decision making, with ability to analyze situations and present resolutions.
  • Paylocity and Kronos software knowledge preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word required, basic knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail/accuracy, ability to multi-task and prioritize, as well as time management skills highly critical to this role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, and comfortable doing presentations.
  • Must be able to foster and support a teamwork environment, placing an emphasis on excellent customer service.
