About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join our team at PDR - Planning, Design, Research. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving our firm's growth and diversification into new markets, including hospitality, healthcare, and multi-family residential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective clients and key industry players in the Houston area.
  • Maintain a robust network of commercial real estate brokers, project managers, real estate developers, building owners, and end-user clients.
  • Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations that highlight our firm's expertise and unique value propositions.
  • Connect our senior leadership team to prospective clients.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies tailored to our goals of expanding into hospitality, healthcare, and multi-family sectors.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, client needs, and competitive landscape, using this insight to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with our senior leadership team to align business development efforts with our growth objectives and diversification plans.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of successfully identifying, securing, and maintaining client prospects in the interior design or related fields.
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills with a deep understanding of the commercial real estate, hospitality, healthcare, and multi-family industries.
  • Strong administrative and organizational capabilities, with proficiency in CRM systems and business development tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong ties within the Houston and surrounding areas commercial and real estate market.
  • Exceptional aptitude for balancing strategic vision with meticulous attention to detail.
