Position Purpose
Under supervision, this role performs general facility maintenance, repair, inspection, and organizational functions to maintain an attractive internal and external corporate campus with multiple buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to unexpected, unplanned, and emergency facility issues or problems.
  • Perform general facility maintenance and repairs on RLI's campus buildings.
  • Support interior building, office, and cubical moves and changes.
  • Make adjustments to modular furniture systems and employee workstations.
  • Perform general building exterior and campus landscaping maintenance.
  • Provide company vehicle fleet support, including movement, storage, and fueling.
  • Facilitate setup for meetings, special events, and company functions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and testing of company equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate and conduct quality inspections of contractor maintenance and work.
  • Manage facility parts and supplies inventory in a neat and well-organized fashion.
  • Support record retention functions, company storage, and warehouse use, and corporate support services.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a high school diploma.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Technical mechanical degree from a two-year institution is preferred.
  • OR equivalent level of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
  • Solid mechanical aptitude.
  • Skilled at using power tools and equipment to make repairs.
  • Experience with vehicles and other mobile operating equipment.
  • Quick learner with a sense of urgency in responding to issues or problems.
  • Ability to move equipment, desks, and other materials in an office or warehouse environment.
  • Excellent ability to work with others and communicate clearly.
  • Self-motivated with inherent ability to learn.
