Medical Surgical Nurse Job Description

**Overview**

As a Medical Surgical Nurse at CHI St Vincent Infirmary, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. With a patient-first mindset, you will excel in your nursing career by delivering exceptional care to patients admitted to our unit.

**Responsibilities**

* Deliver the best possible care to your assigned patients
* Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging

**Qualifications**

* Unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the State of Arkansas
* 6 months of acute care experience required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program)
* Previous med surg experience preferred, but not required
* BLS through the American Heart Association required

**Benefits**
