About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced equity investor to join our Technology team within Global Industry Research (GIR) with responsibility for conducting research and making investment recommendations within the global software sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating superior investment returns through fundamental company, sector, and industry research and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth research on software companies and identify key drivers of industry trends and company performance.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the global software sector, including front and back office applications, analytics, and emerging trends.
- Make investment recommendations to portfolio managers and contribute to the development of investment strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to share knowledge and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with market developments and regulatory changes that impact the software sector.
- Minimum 10+ years of technology investing experience, preferably with specific risk-taking experience in software companies.
- Exceptional analytical and valuation skills, with the ability to make meaningful connections across the software sector.
- Strong academic credentials, with an MBA or CFA/CAIA preferred.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively, taking full accountability and ownership of the narrative.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence investment decision-making and develop deep relationships with company management teams.
