Job Summary

As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for utilizing medical imaging equipment to produce diagnostic quality radiographs. You will follow all departmental Radiation Safety and ALARA policies, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure low-dose imaging is an integral part of practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate portable and stationary x-ray equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Prepare examination rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications to ensure a safe and efficient examination process.
  • Communicate effectively with hospital employees, physicians, patients, and families to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Follow hospital patient-identification policy to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Enter and transmit patient information into PACS for interpretation/reading.
  • Perform QA and complete exams in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • American Heart Association CPR BLS certification.
  • General x-ray license from the State of Florida.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) - in good standing throughout employment highly preferred.
