Per Diem Patient Access Representative Opportunity

Optum, in strategic partnership with Allina Health, is seeking a Per Diem Patient Access Representative to support the Allina Health account. As a Per Diem Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in connecting patients with the care, pharmacy benefits, data, and resources they need to feel their best. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome patients in person, providing a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and entering information into an electronic medical record.
  • Collect demographic and insurance information, check in or interview patients to complete appropriate paperwork, and direct patients to their appointment or procedure.
  • Verify eligibility and benefits information for payers and interpret results, obtaining signatures from patients as needed.
  • Collect co-pay or deductibles and respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs available, referring complex questions as needed.
  • Use resources, tools, and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues and assist patients in completing request for information forms.

Requirements:

  • 6+ months of customer service experience.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to work on a per diem basis, morning, evening, or night shift as the business requires.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to occasionally work other shifts as business requires.
  • Revenue Cycle Experience.
  • General office experience.
