We are seeking a highly skilled nursing professional to join our team at Capital Health Medical Group.

Position Overview
- As a registered nurse at Capital Health, you will plan for providing traditional and individualized comfort measures, fostering an environment that aligns with our core mission, and serving as an advocate by providing emotional and informational support to patients and families.
- You will provide appropriate support for pain management, pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures, and assist patients/families in identifying individualized comfort measures.
- The ideal candidate will initiate a plan of care based on Capital Health's core mission principles, incorporating illness, pain, fear, anxiety, and/or any other stressful emotion in the plan of care.
- You will also identify patients' readiness to learn, formulate and implement individualized teaching plans, document outcomes, and provide interpretation of patients' conditions, giving rationales for procedures consistent with the healthcare team.
- The successful candidate will determine multiple teaching needs related to identified patient problems, document patients' readiness to learn, and provide consistently accurate information to patients with validation through documentation, observation, and staff input.
- You will also identify and document patients' initial conditions and needs for care based on detailed assessments, interpret and assess changes in patients' conditions, plan appropriate interventions to achieve expected outcomes, and document changes, interventions, and outcomes.
- The ideal candidate will complete independent assessments accurately and thoroughly reflecting patients' status, contact LIP to seek out anticipated medications and/or interventions related to changes in patients' conditions, document clinical changes, interventions, and outcomes, and identify significant diagnostic data indicating recurring clinical problems and situations.
- You will also identify emergent situations, initiate appropriate interventions, and document outcomes, utilizing in-house emergency response teams as necessary.
- The successful candidate will administer medications accurately and safely, document patients' records according to the nursing process, ANA Code for Nurses, and Capital Health Patient Services Division Standards of Practice, perform, teach, and demonstrate technical skills specific to assigned nursing units.
- You will identify problems with IV therapy and adverse drug interactions as they occur, answer patients' questions regarding medications accurately, update frequently care plans and teaching plans as changes in patients' conditions occur, and assist unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) in understanding how actions affect outcomes during patient care activities.
- The ideal candidate will obtain new LIP prescriptions to appropriately reflect patient care regimens, collaborate with resources regarding problems with responses from other healthcare team members, attend unit-based performance improvement meetings, identify important aspects of care, respond to the changing needs of the unit, approach LIP's to obtain prescriptions for specific patient needs, communicate independently patient clinical information to LIP clearly, interpret performance improvement outcomes, and relate them to unit-based standards of care.
- You will meet patients' care needs, provide assistance to other team members, and respond to the changing needs of the unit, demonstrating a willingness and capability to assume charge and act as a preceptor when necessary, following established policies and procedures for attendance, punctuality, and continuing education.
- The successful candidate will interact in response to the changing needs of the unit, have the ability to provide assistance to other team members, attend basic preceptor workshops, complete charge nurse competency, utilize non-productive time efficiently, and not receive any disciplinary action related to non-productive time.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
