Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, modify, and repair utility, supply, and disposal systems, fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems.
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
• Read blueprints and lay out plumbing systems for underground rough and top-out phases.
• Install DWV, domestic water piping, and acid waste systems during new construction or remodels.
• Install natural gas systems, medical gas systems, and plumbing fixtures for commercial buildings and hospitals.
• Solder and braze copper tubing, thread steel pipe, and use ProPress.
• Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
• Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
• Install underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems and extend piping to these systems.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in HVAC/Mechanical in a commercial capacity.
• At least 4 years of experience in a commercial plumbing environment.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program.
• State license (or qualified to sit for the exam in Texas immediately).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and punctuality.
• Ability to read blueprints and lay out plumbing systems.
• Understanding of plumbing codes in different jurisdictions.
