At Sampson Regional Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team. As an Environmental Services Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the operational activities of assigned areas of responsibility in the Environmental Services Department.
  • Support the daily responsibilities of the Environmental Services Manager, including conducting department huddles to discuss facility activities and safety issues.
  • Collaborate with hospital administration and other departments to provide excellent service and ensure seamless operations.
  • Train new housekeeping staff and assist the department manager in coordinating staff assignments and trainings.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of progressive experience in healthcare Environmental Services, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Hazardous Waste training required within 90 days of employment.
  • A valid driver's license is also required.
  • Possess strong planning, organizing, and directing skills, as well as knowledge of laws, rules, and regulatory requirements governing health care facilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to use initiative, judgment, and creativity in fulfilling responsibilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • An estimated salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
