Job Overview

VocoVision is seeking a highly skilled Virtual School Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our virtual education team, you will provide psychological assessments, develop IEPs, and offer counseling and therapeutic interventions to students in a virtual learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' emotional, behavioral, and academic needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide virtual counseling and therapeutic interventions to students individually or in groups, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' social-emotional development and academic success in a virtual learning environment.
  • Participate in virtual multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, interventions, and educational planning.
  • Offer crisis intervention services and support to students and families as needed, including risk assessments and safety planning.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic records of assessments, interventions, and communications in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in school psychology and virtual education, participating in professional development activities and training sessions.
Qualifications
  • Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in South Carolina (or ability to obtain certification promptly).
  • Experience providing school psychology services in virtual or remote settings preferred.
  • Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues virtually.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
