We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Ascension Saint Joseph in Chicago, IL. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our experienced staff to deliver exceptional results.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. This includes implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate, serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, and assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements:

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted; Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ED RN experience strongly preferred.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
