Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, WI. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and promoting patient independence.
Responsibilities
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
- Complete the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
- Supervise assigned team members and promote patient independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patients, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills, and answering questions.
- Adhere to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
