Job Overview

This is a critical leadership role at Glass, responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of our glass lines in Houston and Conroe. The successful candidate will be instrumental in meeting production expectations, ensuring high-quality glass products, and promoting a culture of safety and accountability within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Develop and implement production plans to optimize throughput, meet schedule and productivity standards, and ensure line operations are within specified parameters.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Conduct routine inspections, coordinate with the maintenance team to address equipment issues, and oversee preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Team Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise operators for the tempering line, set performance expectations, and monitor operator performance for continuous improvement.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures, conduct quality checks, and document metrics for driving continuous improvement.
  • Production Efficiency: Analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual communication skills
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (preferred)
  • Prior experience in glass or similar manufacturing processes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards

The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 per year, based on national averages for production supervisors in the Houston area.
