Professional Nursing Expert for Surgical Oncology

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Yale-New Haven Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development and implementation of effective nursing practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of patient care
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:
- A current RN license in the State of Connecticut
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent
- Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire
- Experience in surgical oncology or related field preferred
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $ $120,000 - $160,000, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off.
