X-Ray Technologist Job Description

At Healthcare Staffing Plus, we are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team. As an X-Ray Technologist, you will be responsible for taking radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs using x-ray equipment. You will also verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before beginning x-ray procedures. Additionally, you will explain x-ray procedures to patients and answer their questions. This role requires a strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. If you have a patient and compassionate disposition, and are able to move or lift patients, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Responsibilities:
Verifying patients' identity and reviewing physicians' orders
Taking radiographic images using x-ray equipment
Explaining x-ray procedures to patients
Positioning patients accordingly
Limiting patients' exposure to radiation
Ensuring x-rays are of sound quality
Working closely with the resident Radiologist
Maintaining accurate records of completed x-ray procedures

Requirements:
Bachelor's or associate's degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related field
Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Appropriate state licensure
Proven experience working as an X-ray technician
Ability to move or lift patients
Ability to stand for extended periods
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Patient and compassionate disposition
