Job Summary

The John Stewart Company is seeking a highly skilled Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our affordable housing properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of our properties, including compliance with regulatory agencies and federal, state, and local laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and enforce property rules and regulations, lease documents, and report any violations.
  • Process, complete, and maintain accurate resident files at move-in and recertification, adhering to established regulatory guidelines.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff members.
  • Ensure program compliance with HUD, TCAC, Home Program, RHCP, CAL HFA, AHP, and other relevant programs.
  • Collect deposits and rents in accordance with program policies and procedures.
  • Ensure site staff responds to resident requests and complaints in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Complete work orders and turnover of vacant units in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Basic mathematical skills with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in management, training, and evaluation with Tax Credit properties.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential, with Boston Post software knowledge being a plus.
