Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Security Analyst to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Data Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in enhancing the security of our online activities and protecting sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective security measures to safeguard online activities and protect against cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
  • Design and implement security protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide expert technical security consulting and support to internal stakeholders, ensuring the security of our systems and data.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, recommending and implementing new security solutions as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in information security, with a focus on security operations and incident response.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and log analysis.
  • Knowledge of cloud security and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with security training and awareness programs.
  • Strong understanding of security governance and risk management principles.
