Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and precise administration of radiation treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and specialized radiation treatments in accordance with treatment plans developed by physicians.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Maintain and operate complex radiation therapy equipment, documenting readings and ordering necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Prepare for and assist physicians in various radiation therapy and simulation procedures.
  • Mentor and educate students and new therapists to foster a constructive teaching environment.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
  • ARRT - Radiography certification and RHTT-Therapeutic Radiologic Technology certification.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of radiation therapy principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform routine radiation treatment and simulations, as well as basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including prioritization and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The pay range is $55.81 to $78.12 per hour.
