Dietary Technician

The Dietary Technician provides critical support to the Food Service department at Carle Health. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the diet office, working closely with the dining service team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Process patient food orders accurately and efficiently using the dining service computer.
Maintain up-to-date records of patient nutrition plans and calorie counts.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of patient meals.
Assist with training new diet technicians and provide guidance on best practices.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of nutrition and modified diets to provide informed support to patients and staff.
Requirements:
Food Handler Certification required within 30 days.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
