Job Description

Seeking Experienced Clinicians for Inpatient Trauma ICU Role

The MetroHealth System is recruiting Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join its Inpatient Trauma ICU team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care, including identification, management, and referral of health problems
  • Collaborate with attending surgeons to offer pre-, intra-, and post-operative care
  • Manage complex illnesses and deliver specialty care
  • Complete surgical bedside procedures, such as incision and drainage, laceration repairs, and central or arterial line placement/removal
  • Function in a supportive role to provide optimum care to surgical patients

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited program (PA / Acute Care APRN)
  • Current licensure in the State of Ohio
  • Inpatient experience, Trauma or General Surgery experience, or ICU experience as an APRN or a PA
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Proficiency in the use of sterile technique and aseptic practices
  • Knowledge of medications, treatments, and procedures utilized in a surgical environment
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges with The MetroHealth System within 90 days of placement within the position and maintain privileges
