About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Behavior Management Technician to join our team at Forest Park Elementary School. As a classified support staff member, you will play a critical role in promoting student learning and well-being through effective behavior management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in developing and implementing individualized behavior plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioral challenges, using data-driven approaches to promote positive behaviors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in education or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • At least two years of experience working with children and adolescents in a classroom or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques, including positive behavioral supports (PBS).
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $48,000-$58,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. Employees of Kannapolis City Schools also enjoy a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
