Technical Project Coordinator Specialist

Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Technical Project Coordinator to collaborate with a prominent healthcare customer in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will excel in planning, tracking workstreams, and escalating risks, with a foundational understanding of technical concepts. While not technical subject matter experts, this individual will possess enough technical knowledge to effectively manage projects and coordinate with technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the migration of 200+ applications from one datacenter to another, including redesigning and rearchitecting applications to enhance business continuity.
- Track progress of multiple workstreams, ensuring that tasks are assigned, completed, and documented in a timely manner. Oversee 5 to 10 workstreams, ensuring consistent progress reporting, issue tracking, and next steps identification.
- Communicate timelines, task updates, and key deliverables to stakeholders and technical teams.
- Identify potential project risks and issues that could impact timelines or deliverables.
- Escalate risks and critical issues to senior management or relevant teams when necessary, providing clear documentation and recommendations.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including timelines, reports, and risk assessments.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies to project leadership.
- Collaborate with various teams across the healthcare system, including technical teams, clinical staff, IT departments, and management.
- Understand the basics of technical concepts to effectively communicate with technical teams and facilitate problem-solving.
- Assist in translating technical requirements into actionable plans for non-technical stakeholders.
- Monitor technical implementations at a high level to ensure they align with project goals.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in intro to mid-level project management, particularly in technical environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams concurrently.
- Experience with data center technologies (compute and virtualization, storage, networking) and experience managing small projects in this domain.
- Familiarity with project tracking tools such as Excel, MS Project, and ServiceNow.
- Ability to facilitate planning conversations and resolve issues within small teams.
- Proficiency in standard administrative software, including project tracking and pivot tables in Excel.
- Willingness to learn and use our Business Continuity tool, BCIC.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
