Job Summary

As a Per Diem Registered Nurse in our Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) program, you will play a vital role in providing skilled nursing services to patients with substance use disorder. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care, including care management, care coordination, counseling, and community engagement and education.

Responsibilities
  • Perform initial assessments and intakes, obtaining social, medical, mental health, substance abuse, and medication history.
  • Collaborate with the addiction treatment team to provide ongoing management, education, and support to patients in all phases of treatment.
  • Monitor patients in withdrawal management, medication induction, stabilization, and maintenance phases of treatment.
  • Follow State and Federal guidelines in providing care to patients using medication for opioid use disorder and/or withdrawal management.
  • Work with the pharmacy and other OBAT team members to facilitate medication orders, refills, changes, and communication.
  • Ensure access to naloxone and other harm reduction supplies.
Qualifications

We are seeking a registered nurse with a strong commitment to racial justice and health equity. You should have experience working with people who use drugs within communities of color in Boston and a demonstrated understanding of harm reduction methods.

A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is preferred, but recent RN grads with relevant training or experience are also encouraged to apply.
