**Job Summary**

The Field HR Generalist / Advisor provides tactical HR support to individual contributors in assigned business units and functions. As a trusted advisor, you will be the first point of contact for employee relations issues, HR policies, and processes.

**Key Responsibilities**

Employee Relations: Provide reliable coaching and counseling to employees on issues related to policy application, procedures, and employment laws.

Issue Resolution: Identify, communicate, and resolve employee relations issues while balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company policies and employment laws.

Support and Delivery:** Serve as the local People point of contact supporting internal processes including Performance Management, New Hire Orientation, and Exit Interviews.

Training and Development: Conduct training on company policy, programs, and other issues as they arise.

Recruitment and Team Partnership:** Partner and participate with local team(s) on recruitment outreach efforts.

Project Participation: Serves as an active member of People-related project teams as assigned.

Risk and Escalation:** Apriase and escalate potential legal, risk, safety, etc. concerns to the People Manager.

**Requirements**

Education and Experience:* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar area of study; or High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.

Experience:** Two years of related work experience (in addition to education requirement)

Certifications and Licenses: PHR, SHRM-CP, or CHRP Certification preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:** Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels. Solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.

About the Job Location:** This role supports our central and northern Minnesota market service areas (MSA) as well as our North Dakota MSA. Regular site visits are required with exposure to weather and areas where large equipment is operated.

Travel Requirements:** Approximately 1-3 nights of travel per month.
