About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient-Centered Psychiatric Care Specialist to join our team at the County of Santa Barbara. As a key member of our Behavioral Wellness Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy, as well as administer and interpret projective tests
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment programs and policies
  • Participate in staff conferences and contribute to the development of psychiatric programs and policies
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a valid license as a physician and surgeon issued by the State of California, as well as completion of a residency training program in psychiatry. Additional qualifications include certification in psychiatry within five years of employment and possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License.
