Calvary Women's Services is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant to support the success of our organization in providing a safe and respectful environment for women experiencing homelessness in DC.

The Resident Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of the residence, offering support and assistance to women in the program, and maintaining a respectful atmosphere. This role requires strong administrative skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a passion for empowering women to transform their lives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Program Supervision: Assist in the management of facility operations and housing program during scheduled shifts
  • Security Measures: Follow procedures to ensure accurate resident check-in/check-out and maintain a secure environment
  • Support Services: Offer assistance and support to residents, document activities, and maintain confidentiality
  • Emergency Response: Provide support during emergencies, including contacting staff, law enforcement, or medical personnel as needed
  • Enforcement of Rules: Enforce program rules and procedures, including reporting violations and writing disciplinary notices

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' experience working in human services, preferably in a transitional housing or residential program
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate Calvary's core values: respect, empowerment, collaboration, diversity & inclusion, and excellence
