Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Appliance Repair Professional to join our team at Mr. Appliance of Rancho Cucamonga and Huntington Beach.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, troubleshooting issues, and providing excellent customer service. As an Appliance Repair Professional, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing kitchen and laundry appliances in the comfort of customers' homes or businesses.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately diagnose and repair various major kitchen and laundry appliances.
  • Select and use basic appliance repair tools to assemble, adjust, calibrate, repair, or test appliances.
  • Provide accurate estimates of repair costs to customers.
  • Navigate through schematics, diagrams, blueprints, or other pictorial displays on an iPad to identify repair solutions.
  • Utilize an iPad for routing functions, parts inquiries, ordering, charging, and sending invoices on each job.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds occasionally without assistance, performing strenuous work under varied circumstances.
  • Deliver knowledgeable, courteous, and professional appliance repair services to customers.
  • Travel efficiently to repair calls on scheduled routes, maintaining a clean and organized truck and a professional appearance.
  • Work flexible hours and consistently follow company policies, including safety procedures, environmental considerations, customer interaction guidelines, and operational protocols.
Requirements
  • Age 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent learning.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Understanding of basic electric and plumbing principles for problem-solving.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Previous experience as an appliance repair technician or aptitude to learn the trade.
  • Pleasant and polite demeanor when interacting with coworkers and providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable: knowledge or experience working on residential and commercial kitchen refrigerators, coolers, freezers, etc., particularly in luxury and high-end appliances.
