Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team as a Medical Examiner. In this role, you will perform independent medical assessments on veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing electronic medical records, conducting in-person physical exams, and documenting exam findings through a web portal. This position does not involve making disability determinations, as those decisions are made by the US Department of Veterans Affairs.

You will work with a caseload of 3-5 veterans per day, performing Disability Assessments in a clinical setting. A typical day will include reviewing medical records, conducting exams, and documenting findings.

Requirements
  • A current and unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license
  • Proficient use of a computer

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure includes base pay, plus any applicable bonuses or incentives.
