Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at WellMed Medical Group in Harlingen, TX. As a member of our care delivery team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of making healthcare better for everyone.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary and specialty care to patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Collaborate with our primary care physicians, hospitalists, and network of employed/contracted sub-specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new practice ideas and initiatives
- Work closely with our clinical support team, including RNs, LVNs, MAs, nurse educators, case managers, and clinic administrators, to ensure seamless patient care
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board
- Valid DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment
- 1+ year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
- A working understanding and support of a managed care environment
