We are seeking an Information Security Risk Specialist to join our Higher Education division at Apogee, A Boldyn Networks Company.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Network Operations Center (NOC) and other teams to ensure the security and integrity of client networks and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor our environment for security breaches and maintain SLAs.
  • Act as the point person for security incidents in our Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Perform risk assessment on client networks and systems and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
  • Promote a culture of security awareness among NOC and other teams.

Requirements:

  • Threat Monitoring & Response: Monitor our environment for security breaches, collaborate with the NOC and other teams to respond to detected threats and vulnerabilities, and maintain SLAs.
  • Incident Response: Act as the point person for security incidents in our MSP environment and provide leadership in regards to investigations, response, and mitigation of threats in partnership with the NOC and other stakeholders.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Perform risk assessment on client networks and systems and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
  • Security Tool Management: Manage and maintain security infrastructure for our clients including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
