Home Health Aide Role Overview:
As a Home Health Aide (HHA) with Priority Group Services, you will have the rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals in their homes. Our team of compassionate caregivers strives to provide exceptional care and support to our patients, and we are seeking dedicated professionals to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal care needs, ambulation, and transfers, ensuring their safety and mobility.
- Prepare and serve meals, considering dietary restrictions, to promote healthy eating habits.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe home environment.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and caring environment.
- Document patient care accurately and completely.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Home Health Aide or in a related caregiving role.
- Valid New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification.
- Strong compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families.
- Patient reliability and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
